2008
This was our maiden voyage. Alan, Becky, Jeremy and Joe. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. The guys were worried if we would survive and were second guessing the fact that we volunteered to ride a bicycle across the state of Iowa. Becky of course was in the best shape and not worried. Turned out to be a blast and we all survived!

In year 2 we lost Joe, but gained Paul. We were not near as nervous and partied a lot more! We stayed with Tim's folks Doug and Karen one night and Tim's brother Jeremy another night. Paul got a little birthday caution tape on his tent one night after the rest of us partied with Mr. Mullet.

2010
Klint came with us this year. It was a lot of fun! We stayed at a beer garden along the route for about 4 hours and partied pretty good one day... it was a great time! This was also the inaugural year for our homemade shower that was powered by a pressure washer. Still to this day one of our best ideas. And of course this was the year Becky and Mr. Mike and his lemonade got to know each other a little better.

2011
This was Jimmy's first year. We also had Mark, Carrie and the family hanging out with us. This was the year Mark got a little payback on our neighbors with the pot and spoon wake up call.

2012
This was the year we started feeling a little more official. We had Erin, Tim, Wayman and Tony join us. We also had the official "Team Beer Garden" jerseys. Tony found out that sunscreen and his skin do not get along and Jimmy introduced "Ice Crotch"... don't knock it until you try it. This was the first year we had a generator...tent fans for everyone.

2013
This year we had the same team as we did in 2012. So no rookies and everyone knew what they were getting themselves into. Tim showed us his wheelie skills this year! Tim also claimed to do the century day... but there might have been a support vehicle involved. Mary couldn't go 1 day without having chain grease on her leg either.

2014
This was an exciting year. Mainly because we took the "Team Beer Garden Bus". We had a lot of new folks and they were all warned of the possibility of the bus breaking down... but the bus was great and had no major issues! Top speed of 64 MPH if conditions are perfect! I think the new folks were questioning their decision to join Team Beer Garden when we were loading the bus, but at the end of the week I think everyone had a great time.

Bus year #2 is another great success. We picked up a couple of new girls on the side of the road at a rest stop (classy). There was Karaoke, dirty dancing lifts, hammocks, rest stops and more. Team Beer Garden had another great year and many more memories were formed. Lots of beers were drank and fun had by all!

2016
This year was the year of free beer and some bus repairs. Day 2 was a long day in the mechanics shop getting the bus brake lines replaced. In the process it was determined that the fan clutch was going out also. We got the bus fixed up and it ran great the rest of the trip. This year had a lot of free beer stops along the way and a new rule was created: If we ride by and see a sign or hear someone yell "Free Beer" we have to stop!

2017
10 hours before we were planning on leaving for Iowa we had a bus breakdown. It was over 100 degrees out and as the bus made its way to Lee's Summit the water pump when out! We were able to scramble last minute to find a 15 passenger van and grab a work truck and uhaul trailer. Even with a rocky start the week was amazing. The weather was great all week. Day 2 Renee had a bike accident and ended up going to the hospital after hitting her helmet hard on the pavement. She took a few days off of riding and eased back into it and was able to finish the last day. One of the highlights of the week was having Kyle around to help support and keep us entertained! It was impossible to not smile when he was around!

2018
This was one of my favorite years. There were so many fun times! The week started out camping next to a slaughter house and waking up to squealing pigs. Day 2 we got to experience a naked guy on a slip-n-slide and to top it off he was doing naked cartwheels... you just can't un-see that! The whole week had so many good stories. Renee sang karaoke (shocking), we partied at a lot of free beer stops and breweries, had a fun night at the American Legion hall, played Disc Slam with cops and squirrels ate B2's snacks. This was also the year of the "epic lake party" which involved free beer, zipline, slip-n-slide and people riding bikes with no pants! And of course the week was topped off with Kyle taking a Malibu Rum shower!

2019
Another crazy year. Started out with us bringing up the rear of Ragbrai and the cops constantly moving us to the next town. There was some arm wrestling gone wrong mid-week which really put a damper on things. Towards the end of the week we ended up at an epic pool/lake party. There was tons of beer a waterfall and naked bodies. Once again some people managed to change clothes to avoid riding in wet shorts. Apparently no pants is better than wet pants.

2020 COVID YEAR (LAME!!)

2021
Another amazing year. This year we hung out with and partied with Team Bad Decisions a lot. I got the play some air fiddles with Hugh at the Johnny Holmes concert. We partied in the river at Alden. John Alts cousin gave us a pontoon ride. We had lots of shots at the Elks lodge that night! This was the year at the Mexican restaurant that took forever, but was so much fun. Becky got a ride home with a cop. We might have set a record for free beer stops this year!

2022
This year had lots of adventures. TBG commandeered a tractor and wagons to get us to the beer garden. Wayman managed to make a rhubarb pie smiley face shirt. Ace and Gary were having a great time with "bro" time. Favorite quotes "Next year I am bringing a box of dildos" and of course Blane playing cornhole and talking trash. "Sit back and take a picture"!

2023
Where to begin on this year! First we had a new bathroom on the bus. Lots of vehicles behind us got a free show. Brad showed everyone his roundhouse kicking skills. New TBG grey jerseys were in full effect. Travis showed off his pole climbing skills. Thunderstruck became our new favorite song. Cam took a lot of slapping. Brancy put on a clinic on deep throating a banana. Jer managed to get into a hay bail throwing contest. We found out 9 people can fit in a Nissan Altima with Ed and Sherry. And of course the Grey Goose survived a nasty storm... the tents not so much.
